Terms of Use

Last updated: 8 June 2026

These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Kuupo (“Kuupo”, “we”, “us”) for the Kuupo app and website (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.

Who can use Kuupo

You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to form a binding contract and to consent to our Privacy Policy under your local law. You’re responsible for your device and for anything done through your identity on it.

What Kuupo is

Kuupo lets you discover, create and join local events on a map, tag them with pictograms, and chat with other participants in each event’s “talk”. Events are created by people like you; we don’t verify them and we’re not responsible for what happens at them. Use common sense and meet safely. We may change, suspend or discontinue parts of the Service.

Your content and conduct

You’re responsible for the events, messages and images you share (“Content”). You keep your rights to your Content; you grant us only the limited licence needed to display it to the other people in an event and to operate the Service.

There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. You agree not to use Kuupo to harass, threaten, bully or defame anyone; to share content that is illegal, hateful, obscene, sexually exploitative, or that infringes others’ rights; to create fake or dangerous events; to impersonate others; to spam; or to break the law.

Reporting and blocking

In the app you can report an event or a message, and block people you don’t want to hear from. You can also email us at hello@kuupo.com. We review reports of objectionable content and abusive users and act on them — typically within 24 hours — by removing content and ejecting and banning offending users. We may remove Content or suspend access at any time to enforce these Terms.

No warranty

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don’t guarantee that discovery, events or messages will always be available, accurate, timely or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kuupo is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service — including anything that happens at an event you found or created through Kuupo.

Termination

You can stop using Kuupo at any time by deleting the app. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live.

App store terms

If you obtained the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play, the following also apply:

Changes

We may update these Terms; continued use after changes means you accept them. We’ll revise the “last updated” date above.
